KC Farms was started in 1982 by Leo Scott, who began with the purchase of 10 registered red angus cows from Virginia Acres. The operation became full-time in 1993, when Scott completed the successful sale of his first business, Leo Scott Cabinets.

Since then, Scott has devoted all his time to upgrading and improving the cattle. As a result, KC Farms is now among the largest and most respected red angus breeders in Virginia and surrounding states.

Through the years, KC farms has won many awards and recognitions, including Grand Championships at the Dixie Classic in Winston-Salem,NC and the State Fair in Raleigh, NC, as well as numerous blue ribbons at shows in Louisville, KY, Fort Worth, TX, Maryland and Virginia.
